The MAC-4 is a tough, integrated multi-track audio reproducer, DSP, amplifier and control system, intended for mobile applications requiring high quality audio playback in challenging environments. It is protected to IP65, operates over a wide temperature range, and has been specifically designed to withstand high vibration and rapid acceleration. Primary applications include roller coasters, dark rides, flume rides, tour vehicles, etc.

MAC Configurator is used for setup, and ShowTime Editor is used to program up to 99 cuelists each with 99 cues. Cues can play and mix audio, switch GPIO, and transmit serial or network commands. Cuelists may be triggered via serial or Ethernet messages, or GPIO.

MIL-DTL-26482 and industrial data connectors are used throughout. These highly durable connectors provide vibration resistance, and can be IP65 rated when mated with suitable cable connectors. Covers can be fitted to unused connectors if required.

The enclosure incorporates all-axis M6 anti-vibration mounts, allowing the MAC-4 to be mounted in any orientation. The base plate of the MAC-4 is thermally coupled to the highly effecient class D power amplifiers, to provide passive cooling.

The front panel OLED display and navigation wheel can be used for local configuration, backup / restore, media download, testing, diagnostics, and viewing alarm history. 

 

The navigation wheel is illuminated for easy use in dark environments.
